In October / November 2008 the Lights for Learning Team visited Zambia for a second time to continue their work installing lighting systems in rural schools. Throughout the trip, which lasted just over two weeks, the team of eight trustees and volunteers successfully installed lights in three different schools covering two geographically separate districts within the Luapula Province. Aside from the installation work the team also made further valuable contacts both within the local communities and within the Zambian Ministry of Education.

Objectives

To install lights in three three schools of Milenge, Muyembe and Lwela. Installation was to include a total of 29 classrooms, 11 offices and 3 dormitories.

Outcome

All three installations complete with 30 classrooms, 12 offices, 4 dormitories and 2 miscellaneous rooms being fitted with lights.
